Chloe Power Washer

From time to time, Chloe feels the need to demonstrate her power washing technique to Daphne. This typically involves immobilizing the poor creature so Chloe can power wash with minimal interruption. Here we see that Daphne’s ears need some attention:

Also today, a bonus shot of a weirdly lit, faux watercolor Daphne:

Because Photoshop was just sitting there, and she’d never sit still for the real thing anyway.

No strings attached:

But having had no luck finding a sinister — well-heeled benefactor” of my own, I have to resort to a public plea. Hear me, well-heeled benefactors: I’M FOR SALE. I will carry water for you. I will sell your agenda. I will do so with a surfeit of snark and cleverness. You will be thrilled to have me on board.

Yo, sinister well-heeled benefactors! What he said!

Prince Vacuous

leave a comment »

Though I’ve been casually following the story of Prince Harry’s incredible cluelessness, I felt no need to post on it because it’s hardly a new thought. To all those asking, “what was he thinking?” the obvious – he wasn’t – is not quite so apt as – he doesn’t.

I know, I know, it’s all terribly hard to be the spare and he’ll never have anything meaningful to do unless his brother makes an untimely early demise. Boo hoo. However, Diplomad has a quite funny, must read post on the subject.

You know what to do.

Now That’s Close Order Drill!

Apparently the US military toyed with the idea of developing a ‘sex bomb’ that would make enemy soldiers irresistable to each other. I’d hate to think someone got a promotion because of this.

Update Moxie checks the date and isn’t surprised.

Disintegrator Takes on Newdow

leave a comment »

A thoughtful post by Disintegrator taking on Professional Atheist Mike Newdow and his sisyphiphean atttempt to eliminate all traces of religion from public life. He points out the selective reading of the Constitution so common among those who would tell us what to do:

Mr. Newdow, either through ignorance or a desire to manipulate the argument, inserts a period after the word “religion.” Anyone who has actually read the document knows that there’s a very important phrase that follows…

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. (emphasis mine)

Check him out.
