Bravo Lindsey Graham

leave a comment »

Now there are three words I never thought I’d write.

Nonetheless, Lindsey Graham deserves kudos for the way he acted at today’s show trial in the senate. And he gave all the other squishes cover (and as head squish, that’s important).

Watch for yourself.

How On Earth Do They Look in the Mirror?

leave a comment »

Amnesty International – a group that does not exactly live up to its lofty goals – has weighed in on the present nonsense regarding Judge Kavanaugh. Let’s be clear – none of the accusations are credible despite what the various Democrats shrilly state. But the simple fact that such a group as AI has decided to weigh in is enough to set one’s teeth.

Let’s be clear – the United States Constitution lays out that it is the United States Senate that has the advice and consent function to confirm or deny principal federal officers especially justices of the Supreme Court.

No one else has this duty. And while they may give an opinion, I can’t help but feel that those who are trying to tell the Senate what to do do – especially when it comes to ‘nomination must be withdrawn’ – should shut the F up. I believe this because those saying so came out against Judge Kavanaugh BEFORE he was nominated. Color me done when you’ve exhibited your bias before there is a subject to be biased. Putzes.

Right now, I don’t care. I don’t believe that Judge Kavanaugh is guilty of a single iota of the charges against him. However, given Keith Ellison, and all the other Democrats accused/guilty of various sexual peccadilloes, I have one response to the Diane Feinsteins of the world. GO POUND SAND!

Your hypocrisy sickens me. Your naked quest for power at the expense of anything decent is revolting. You Democrats must be stopped.

So, vote! Damnit! Vote! Every Republican, every American, every person in this country who despises tyranny must vote. And do NOT vote for ANY Democrat. Not one – not a single Democrat can be trusted. They are not ‘somehow’ independent, looking out for their local interests. They are evil, each and every one of them. They must be shunned and denied power. I grant you, most Republicans will be squishes, not quite what we would want. But they are not tyrants. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for fascism, for tyranny, for oppression. Don’t vote to put people in office who will steal from you, and who long to put you in camps. Just say NO to Democrats.

Just Sayin’

I suspect if I accused someone of something – anything – and refused to testify about it they would not have to respond to it. Indeed, they would not find it somehow inimical to their job prospects. Just sayin …

Borking Kavanaugh and the Walkaway Movement

leave a comment »

As I watch the last minute attempt to derail Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court, I can’t help but look a little ahead, to say, November 6th. Since nothing else is going on in the world, everyone is naturally focussed on the allegations of some impropriety (details are sketchy and shifting) at some alleged party a lot of years ago.

While I am certainly disgusted by the behavior of the political left over the years – especially the last two – I note that over the summer, some other people have been feeling the same. They have joined a movement called “Walkaway” which is purportedly Democrats or other political lefties walking away from the Democratic party over their insane and deplorable (yeah, I went there) behavior. Now, as a political conservative, I’ve been rather skeptical of this as from my perspective, there could be a bit too much wishful thinking. I have no idea how big a deal this is, might be, or will be. However, for the sake of argument, I’d have to say the last minute Borking/Thomasing of Judge Kavanaugh should be a watershed moment for those on the Walkaway fence as it were.

I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if there is activity on that front in the next few days. Meanwhile, Investor’s Business Daily has a key insight into what else this means for the future.

The Time Has Come Again

leave a comment »

Well, gentle readers, I thought I had done my bit for king and country. I thought that I had nothing more to contribute.

I was wrong. The craziness that has been the hallmark of the last two years suggests that it is time for the MartiniPundit to reemerge.

I shall opine again. I shall withstand the notion from the left that I am arrogant and condescending towards them (probably true – go pound sand). I shall continue to raise the glass, and defend the right. That means, just so we’re clear, deconstructing the feeble arguments the left employs for its side and defending the feeble arguments the right employs for its. After all, there is no doubt that the left is thoroughly evil, and the right thoroughly stupid.

Just look at the most aptly named Senator Flake caving on the Kavanaugh eleventh hour nonsense. I mean, if Senator Flake had one functioning neuron, he would have seen this coming. Sad.

It’s Crawl Over Broken Glass Day!

Vote!

The day is upon us, and it is time to vote out the failed Obama experiment. In truth, I'm not certain he thinks he's failed, since part of me still thinks that this is what he and his Alinskyite allies planned all along.

But, for the rest of us, this is abject failure. And four more years would only make it worse. Possibly unfixably worse.

More debt, more spending, more regulation, more government control, more environmental restrictions, more division, more failed foreign policy, more bowing, more dead Mexicans, more dead Americans, more tyranny!

Less jobs, less economic growth, less energy independence, less household income, less healthcare, less purchasing power, less military power, less international respect, less unity, less freedom!

Romney has made the case for a brighter future. He's got the experience and the vision to bring this country back to greatness. He gets it. Cut spending. Cut taxes. Cut regulation. Get government out of the way, and watch the innate resilience of America roar back. Keep our national defense strong, and bow to no one.

MartiniPundit proudly endorses Mitt Romney for president. Now go out and vote for him. And while you're at it, vote straight Republican down ticket. President Romney is going to need a congress willing to work with him to get the job done.

Vote! Crawl over broken glass but vote!

Shame on You Todd Akin

leave a comment »

So the self-described conservative Todd Akin is clinging to his senate bid. Just like a Democrat. Shameful.

We conservatives hold ourselves to a higher standard. The Democrats have their Weiners, Rangels, Spitzers, Geithners, Bidens, and Clintons among others. Some left, some stayed, but none were told to hit the road by their party. All clung to their power as long as they could. All were shielded by their co-ideologues.

That's the difference between the parties. The Republicans enforce decency and the Democrats shield indecency. Todd Akin, isolated and alone, is clinging to power, country and party be damned.

Yes, he apologized, and well he should. But that doesn't excuse terminal stupidity, callousness, and lack of judgment. Qualities already plentiful in the senate, and no more of them needed.

Shame on you Todd Akin. You had the chance to retrieve some honor from your foolishness. Now, all you have – win or lose – is shame, ignominy, and ridicule. Go, before it's too late. But go, for God's sake, go.
