Random thoughts and insights – always shaken, never stirred

Election Day

Well, here we go! We’re ready here at Villa MartiniPundit.

The vote (for McCain) has been cast, the news (Fox) is on, the Martinis (and Manhattans – imagine!) are made, and we’re ready to watch the returns.

So far, it’s looking fine for McCain. While I pay little attention to exit polls (especially after the 2004 debacle), they’re not bad news for McCain. White men have broken strongly for him, and late breakers in VA heavily. It does show the same late-breakers in OH and IN breaking for Obama. All this is before I apply the 10% discount rate to Obama for lying respondents and refusers, in which, if that’s correct, this is shaping up to be a great night for McCain. (Let’s be clear – NO one is lying to pollsters about voting for McCain.)

Liveblogging will continue irregularly throughout the evening.
