Cool City Cats
May was unseasonably cool here in Massachusetts, hovering in the low 40s for most of the month and raining much of the time. This Daphne and Chloe took in stride, although it did cut down some on their morning bird-watching rituals. However, with June has come heat, and it’s been in the 90s for much of the last week. This, they did not take to well as it appears that no one actually told them it could get this hot or that this part of the country has 50 degree shifts in a matter of days as part of the normal weather pattern. This has caused her to spend more time than is typical about my desk, and I’ve had to avoid rolling over her with a chair a couple of times. That, I’m sure, she would take to most poorly. Meanwhile, Chloe has found her own solution lounging on a plastic bin that’s out temporarily:
We’re not sure if it’s cooler on top of that, or she just enjoys the novelty. But she’s a cat, and so multi-tasking while not actually doing anything comes naturally to her.
