Kudos to Senator Reid

From Chris Muir:

The rest of the senate (and the house) should follow Senator Reid’s lead on this.

Update By request, I’d like to clarify the main problem with the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform Act as summed up in this issue: if the Federal Election Commission can muzzle bloggers like me who are affiliated in no way with any political campaign and only affiliated with a party by voter registration who discuss candidates for office by name within some arbitrary period of time near an election, then Congress has effectively repealed the First Amendment guarantee of free speech. Worse, it has retained that right for candidates to office alone creating just the sort of self-perpetuating oligarchy the founding fathers feared. The ‘reform,’ frankly, needs to be repealed, or more likely, overturned. More here, and an explanation of how it was all a put up job by liberal activists.
