Choosing a Loser

leave a comment »

With the election lost, and people like Terry McAuliffe and Bob Shrum having solidified their unbroken losing streak, one wonders why in the world the Democrats are considering choosing Howard Dean as the next chairman of the DNC. This is the guy who couldn’t carry a single state in the primaries other than his own of Vermont, and whose very public meltdown led directly to the disastrous candidacy of John Kerry. It seems to me that the DNC ought to take the advice of James Carville – a guy who’s actually won an election – and become “born again.” I’m pretty sure that means avoiding proven losers.
