Halliburton, Iran, and Libya

Senator Edwards charged that foreign subsidiaries of Halliburton did business with Iran and Libya while Dick Cheney was CEO. This is indirectly true based on this article from Forbes. Subsidiaries did business with other subsidiaries, but the key is that this was pre-9/11. Many of us have decided that we can no longer do business based on 9/10 thinking, but Senator Edwards would have us judge on that record.

Well, not really, he only wants us to judge Republicans on that record. For if we were to judge the Democrats on that record, it would be far more embarrassing. Kerry has twenty mediocre years in the senate and Edwards has six. But the one thing that’s consistent is their votes against American interests.
