Australia Is Voting Too

leave a comment »

In the midst of the flurry of the US Presidential Election we sometimes forget that Australia is going to the polls as well, and sooner – this Saturday to be precise. The polls suggest that Prime Minister Howard’s government will prevail over Mark Latham’s Labor challenge (winning Howard a rare fourth term as PM).

John Kerry’s sister has been actively campaigning on behalf of Latham and Labor, telling Australians that America endangers them. Australia has long been one of America’s most steadfast allies. Not because they’re coerced or bribed, but on account of shared principles and an understanding of the value of freedom.
