What about the Iraqis?

The Kerry Campaign Blog has published Kerry’s statement on the tranfer of sovereignty to Iraq. In four paragraphs, Kerry touches on NATO, repairing relations with our ‘allies,’ praises the troops, bringing the troops home rapidly, the amount spent on reconstruction, the percentage of American troops in the coalition, the need to get troops and funding from our ‘allies,’ and security.

Not one word about democracy, freedom, the end of a vicious dictatorship, or the improvements in the lives of the Iraqi people.  Indeed, Iraq is mentioned but once and in this context:

On the day of the transition of sovereignty to the Iraqi people …

After which he rattles off the laundry list of irrelevancies to the subject.  What a putz.
